here in DE. and they charge the same shipping as if I lived in another state or something. You can't go directly to them to buy tires UNLESS you know somebody. Then you can save on the shipping. Aaron at United Auto, hooked me up like that 1 time by making a phone call and telling them I was coming to pick them up. So for now,I'll use the vendor that ends up being less expensive. I just bought 2 Hankook tires from Discount Tire for $68 apc. in 225/55/16 for my wife's car. They're rated to 149 (vr) and they are mud and snow rated as well. I've driven her car with them on the rear (a GS 400 that's usually pretty tail happy in the rain,even with the Stability control on) and they are a day and night difference from the crappy Eagle GT+4's that were on there. Overall,I'm happy with the whole deal and Discount Tire had the tires here in 2 days. I know Tire Rack is very good but there is competition out there and that benefits the consumer,correct?
